not sure yet either hi test or racing fuel knowing me racing fuel ya baby

firewall is in motor will go on tomorrow i also sheeted with 1/64 lite ply under the fuel tank to keep most of the hot air in the tunnel. I kinda have the tunnel figured out i might start on that over the weekend so far its cool

spent some time measuring out the plane for Bryan so he can scale the scheme right

Ok a few more things are done, Cowl is done, Throttle servo done, hatch is done. Now i just need some gear. Pipes should be in soon to Da. I also retro fitted the carbon gear from the extra 260 40% looks good.

Ok so i was bored and started the tunnel this is were i am at after about 20 mins, the box will work out great just have to tie the formers back into the box as i move along i need pipes.

I will sheet the bottom side of the rubber area with lite plywood so it add some strength back into the formers the wall of the box will be out of balsa, i will use the pipe holders also to tie back into the airframe with some 1/4- 1/4 stock bracing in there. I know it will add some weight but its not a big deal for the gain i will get for having pipes will worth it

Looking good! Hey dino are you planning on just covering the bottom of the tunnel or are you gonna make a hatch for easier access to the pipes?

The tunnel Chris i am not sure about that yet once i have the pipes in and in place i can figure that out. But i know i need air flow so it might be a mostly open tunnel i might paint the tunnel yellow just it flows when you look at the bottom of the plane.

also a note there are strings running across the plane under the balsa that is covering the rubber tray from the bottom of the plane 1/4x1/4 that i tied back in the same for the back where the pipes exit

The katana is a ARF so i did have to build or cover it, the plane comes from Ace hobby its the Toc line. It took me about 2 hrs to get to this point on the tunnel, i will paint it yellow after boxing in the sides

OOPPPPPPS,, my mistake, when I see that someone has a "build", I was just assuming that it was a kit or scratch build....ARF's are mostly "just" an assembly.
