Yes, WA doesn't exactly "got it goin' on" for events does it.
I've been trying to save money to make it to some of the bigger events, but, you can't save money buyin' airplanes and helis. The hobby seems like it's exploding to me, maybe soon we'll have some events a little closer.

Yeah, the builder is Kenneth Carcietta. He brought several planes that look just as good. Incidently, the mock rotary engine turns with the prop.

Is this a "woodie" or a "foamie" looks like depron milled out with monokote covering? looks super light! Anyone have any info?? Great coverage BTW

tech 8 , that plane is foam cutout then colored "plastic wrap" glues onto it for strength , ahhhh , rcgroups scrathbuilt foamies area search , "ghost bipe", i think that will get you to it. , youd be surprised on how strong it is also, you'd think cutting away all that structural foam would make it weak , but its really strong after covering. (ive done tests), looks great and all too , but still stronger is not milling all the way through depron and leaving a thin "skin" on the one side you don't go through, a lot less work also.

It is a Dunne DVIII. built in 1913. it is a scratch built scale model. it has a 48" inch wing span.
