Default Sebart Su 29 140E Gas conversion

Hi!
Since I really wanted this plane for a long time now, but electric Is a bit pricey to my taste, and there's almost no info on this plane with gas or glow conversion I decided to go ahead and create a build thread.

I'm building it as light as possible, so engine of my choice is Mintor 37 - 1450 Grams including tuned pipe, ignition, battery, the weight is the same, if not lighter than 6S electric setup with AXI motor + The power (yet on test stand) is awesome, and should be much more than 6S setup Gernot is using.

My setup will be simple and straight going, no regulators, or fancy stuff, so I will be using 1 Servo for elevators on a pull- pull system.

Engine: Mintor 37
Servos: 2x Hitec HS 7955TG 2x Hitec HS 5985MG 1x Hitec HS 82MG (throttle)
Batteries: 2700 4- cell NiMh on ignition and LiFe 2S 1100 for on- board power
Mejzlik 20x8
Spektrum AR7000

I started assembly 2 days ago, so I've done quite a bit, but I still have to finish few things, ok, ok, much things
Again, when you take Sebart- you get what you pay for in terms of quality and those small things that are pre made for you like pre- cut servo bays and horn places (covering burned out), there are few things that I didn't like, but later about them, normally it's fantastic quality, and should be a gem.

So here goes some pictures, I will not comment them, just ask If you have questions, I'll be glad to answer. I'll post them as the build goes.
This is my first build thread on FG, so I'll try to meet all T-Bob's requirements to build threads

This is going to be a good one, those Mintor motors are works of art!

I've got this plane in the same scheme on E power and I LOVE IT! This is a cracking airframe. I had one with a YS 160 as well and the conversion is no problem - especially since sebart give you additional pieces to strengthen the motor box and line the pipe tunnel. I'm running 10s and this thing is light for its size, so your going to be fine with the mintor.

I sold the Glow version though because I'm past the days of oily models!

Well, who knows, If I wouldn't buy both 110 and 37 at almost the same time, I wouldn't say so, 110 doesn't work for me, or my friend, we will see how it goes with 37. On a test stand it's a monster, see video:

As for my build, let's move on, more pics, that's all I've done so far, but I have this night and the next day, my girlfriend will be happy that I will ignore her next like 30 hours

PS.
Here's how Gernot "Does" this plane on 1650 watts

Should've forked out for that motor rather than the DLE30. That spools up! 1200 idle,,,nice.

Well two days have passed, although I spent most of these two days with Su, looking on pictures now, I understand that actually I haven't done much, but still I made wing linkages, tank (I use smaller 280 CC tank for light weight), Fuel lining, conversion kit installation, tunnel finishing, well, see for your self.
Most of my time I spent on figuring out elevator servo placement, I think I done it right, still have to reinforce it though.
My girlfriend took vacation of me for 4 days, will be back tomorrow, in last pictures you can see, that she will love me If I will not post progress, know that I'm dead

Btw, if you plan to built this plane, make sure you buy 1,5'' arms for ailerons. I will swap mine out as soon, as I get the correct ones.

Last two days I was finishing up this thing, finished Elevator pull pull setup, My attention to details paid back, and I have equal throws on both halves and in center. What a hasstle it was, but it sure looks cool now, and has lots of wires
I didn't use any ball links or tension devices for those cables, as I didn't have any, but result is good- all four cables are equally tight.
Finished the cowl up, made choke linkage, installed cowl.
To do is the switches and battery placement + extension making, and I'm good to go.
Hopefully I'll throw it down on Saturday.
Sweet looking bird I must admit And amount of throws promises some fun

Did the switches and battery mounting yesterday, today I'll finish up extensions, put wire sock on them, and mount ignition battery, which will conclude my assembly finally.
I have to finish my friend's Su 29 though, put parcel from Tower is lost, and I must wait 2 more weeks till they re-ship my order..

Well, yesterday I was lazy, only thing what I did was I went to our youth center (where kids build models) to get drill press, and drilled backplate of my spinner.
Still I'll fly it tomorrow, hopefully I'll get my girlfriend out and ask her to take pics and videos.

So I made through the requirements Bob?
Still haven't flown it, I have bunch of indoor planes to build at the moment. Maybe in a few weeks I'll take that thing out.
