Default TGY AerodriveXp SK Series 63-64 2 3150W & TURNIGY Sentilon100A HV 5-12S BESC (

Hi,

has anybody flown the TGY AerodriveXp SK Series 63-64 230Kv / 3150W and TURNIGY Sentilon100A HV 5-12S BESC (Ver4) ?.

How is the quality of this engine ?
Ho does it perform on a 22x13 PROP ? (pattern plane for ex.)

has the ESC a step programmable break (to use the prop brake in downlines ?)

Thanks,

Chris

Yes.. I did.. on 10S . It would pull my 88'' yak.. but that is it. Just fly.. Not hover or anything.. 12 s may have worked.. BUT.. the Fronts of the motors come loose from the BEll that holds magnets.. IF you get one. Turn Prop while holding the Bell housing.. the revers of normal direction.. Take it apart.. GEt some Serious Goop put in the threads.. Tighten back and let it sit for a few days.. IN my opinion.. there is not enough threadS!!
Good luck..

I think I had a 22-12 on it.. not sure on the brake.. I know you can turn it off or on.. not sure on step..

A friend of mine is useing this combo on his CA Model Genesis. NO WAY it can handle a 22" prop. He is useing a Turnigy Electric Ultra-light wood propeller 20x12, 10s Lipo, very light and quiet. This setup is not as powerfull as the Hacker C50 13 XL I´m running on the same airplane. The ESC works great but don´t try to set the break on because the motor starts to make a really bad noise. it is a good way to make a cheap electric F3A model. I think that "the key" for this setup is not overload the motor with too much prop, otherwise the magnet came loose for temperature.

Yes, it would go. My friend try an APC 20x13 but he switched because the Turnigy was lighter and quieter. He uses the 20x12 because Turnigy don´t have a 20x13. You have to be gentle with throttle management if you want to be trouble free.

Ricardo.

Do you have some RPMs for those props ?

Some customers wrote that the magnets came loose, do you had any probs with this ?

Thanks, Chris

Am using this setup in my sebart sukhoi 140.
Rihno 3700 batteries 10s
Mejzlik 20 x 11E prop
Pulling 2800 watts, 74amps, 37 volts
Getting 7 and a half mins of 3D flying with everything only luke warm to touch but only get 5 and a half mins if I practice IMAC, everything still only luke warm.
Has plenlty of punch out of a hover.
I pulled the motor apart befour I put it in the plane, magnets had plenty of glue around them, Bearings are a bit average, which I will eventually replace but they aren't giving any problems yet.
I haven't put the brake on seen I fly mostly 3D but the throttle is nice and liner.
Have had plenty of flights with this combo, with no problems so far and would recommend this setup to anyone for this size plane.

Cheers
Steve
