I just picked up a G-23 and can't get it run past half
throttle. It runs great on the bottom end and mid range. Dies if you open up to full throttle from either mid range or idle.Help! |

At one point did it run good on the same setup?
The fuel clunk could be too small and not allowing enough fuel to flow. Try opening the carburator and look for debris on the filter screen. This could be blocking fuel. You need to remove this screw (below) to get to the fuel fliter. |

Most problems like this are the throttle opening the wrong way...close the throttle and look in the carb..If you can see the head of the screw holding the throttle plate the carb is opening wrong...Take the arm off the shaft and put it back on so the threads of the screw are showing with the throttle closed.....
Check to see that the pulse holes from the cylinder through the insulator line up with the hole in the carb.. Check for air leaks under the carb... Open both high and low needles 2 turns from closed, set the high first...

Great. Both were way off. Got her screaming on the top end and richened her up a little from there.
Next problem is with the servo travel. There is such a short throw on the motor arm that half throttle is already wide open. Can you adjust end points on a Futaba T8UHPS or how would you fix this? |

Shorter on the servo, longer on the carb.

If you have a good Tx you can improve it even more with a throttle curve

Looked in throttle, saw small screw. Took carburator off, much larger screw on opposite side facing engine. Put back. Fired right up. Still won't run past half throttle??? |
