Gents,
Has anyone tried to mount a throttle servo in such a manner that the output shaft of the servo connected directly to the throttle butterfly shaft on the carb? I have designed a mount that would allow me to do that. The mount is vibration dampened and the connection shaft connects directly to the output shaft of the servo and the throttle butterfly shaft. In theory this should offer execllent resolution....servo city sells the connection shafts and collars, the actuall shaft is carbon fiber thoughts...

Could only see 1 potential problem there.........
Where would you mount the throttle servo??? In most cases, the throttle arm on the carb is in such a location that it is near anything exhaust related. That would be my only concern..........

it is mounted on a mountng plate that utilizes the carb screws as mounting bolts...alternate design uses header bolts as mounting bolts...longer than stock ones to ensure proper thread depth!

It is done on a regular basis in some circles. Many hundreds of times.

would love to see pics if anyone else has already done this in certain circles, namely the RC aircraft with a DA100 or 150 Circle
