Hi guys,
i am looking for the Hangar 9 35% 260 and DLE 111 combo for 3D and precision. I think i fly something like 65% doing 3D and 35% Precision-IMAC manouvers. Or should i go with the DA 85, i can buy the DA 85 or the DLE 111 for the same price. What do you think, DA 85 or DLE 111, for precision and 3D? I am 900m(2.700 feets) about the sea level. Thanks, Thiago. |

I fly the H9 35% Extra with a 3W-110 and 3W m-55 cannisters turning a 3 blade 25x12 PT cf prop, if you plan on IMAC contests your sound score will go out the bottom on straight mufflers.

ive seen plenty of people run stock mufflers in imac. they just use a mejzlik 3 blade prop and throttle control. not 10's but not 0's either. cannisters are always better but it can be done without.

I fly a 35% Extra with a DA85 and Greve's pipe. Its a blast to fly since it came in pretty light. Floats around like a feather, 3D monster. Now, my plane flys very well, but a twin would be an easier install if I might add and less trouble. Not that there is anything wrong with the 85, you will just need to to more mods to make it work, especially if your going with a pipe. Ive seen some planes fly on the 85 with the Pitts muffler and canister as well and they have plenty of power and are pretty light as well. Hope this helps......

![]() you will probably need something like this for your motor. ive seen a da100 break the backing plate and heard of others doing the same because you have to have such long standoffs for the engines. http://tntlandinggear.com/SWB.htm

I know that the DA 85 will shake too much, but like gapple12 said the extra will float. And i am looking for this, but i donīt know how will it peform in 2.700ft about the sea level. So probably i will go with the DLE 111. And I can use the DLE 111 in other planes for 3D and precision, that the DA 85 wonīt do the job, right?
Thanks everybody for the help. |

I have this plane set up with the DA-100 and love it. My flying partner owns the H-9 Suhkoi with the DA-85...... plenty of power, but not nearly as smooth running as the 100. Also, the exhaust is always vibrating loose. He's switching over to a canister. With the 100 in the front you will have plenty of power (I am running stock exhaust) and the cg is perfect. Very little mix needed. Great flying plane!
