Default Gernot's Yak 55M 1.4...OUT OF THIS WORLD!

This thing is blowing my mind.
There is a build thread on RCG with more info, but here is the general idea.

Yak 55M
55" wingspan
3s-6s
AUW of 1190 grams (2.6lbs)!!!

Attached Images
A little spendy with the exchange rate. I think it was $340 USD.
Any thoughts.
Can we get someone to distribute them in the US?

My images didn't work. I'm not super savvy on all that internet cutting and pasting and linking and what-not.
Let me tell you; if you are a Gernot fan like I am, or just like 55M s, it's BEAUTIFUL!!

I know of a few people who considered bringing these fine planes in.
But after shipping and mark-up your looking at a $400 US 55" electric plane.
What's the point?

You mean like a 53" Pitts Python for $499. Some people buy 'em. Personally, it's waaay out of my price range. But, I just might skip a couple cheaper electric ARFs I was looking at, and save up for this one. The quality appears to be waaay above most of our cookie cutter ARFs we buy, crash, replace, repeat. Something to hold on to for a while and take pride in owning.
Just my thoughts. I WILL own one, somehow.

I just checked the other thread. The 1190 grams was a typo. It's 2190 grams (4.8lbs). Well, my balloon just deflated a little. It's still very cool. But 2.6lb was just incredible. Flying it on 4S just got a little trickier. But, maybe two three cells like they do with the MX. I'll keep my eye on it, and keep you posted.

Weight is weight. The Krill model is a little heavier than a lot of built up planes, but it still flies amazingly well. I think that this will be the same way.

I get your point, I was just VERY impressed. My mind went on this whole "I can't believe where technology is taking our hobby right now" thing. Like top fuel dragsters, they just keep going faster, and faster, and faster. But, I should have realized, as someone else pointed out the weights of individual components and asked "what, the airframe weighs 12.5 oz?"
But yeah, I still want one.
