Default New Futaba 10CAG 2.4 Linking To 7 Channel R617FS Receiver?????

I've been trying for hours and can't get the LED to turn green. The manual has the procedure for the 8 and 14 channel receiver but shouldn't the 7 channel receiver work too?? I'm really lost on this one. Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You have to go into the programing and go into parameters and change the modul to7ch. 7ch are only 1024 so it's a diffrent band. 8ch and up are 2048 resulusion. hope this helps

Scott, Thank you. I figured it out, good thing Futaba didn't include that procedure where they talk about receiver compatabality.....but I eventually found it. All is good and the light is green. Thanks again! B-

Good. it's almost like model match if your running two recivers. Like when they had the deal with two recivers with the radio. One was a 14ch and the other was a 7ch You have to change the programing before the other reciver would work. I did that this whole summer between a 30% and 2 35%'s and now a 46%.

If you check our website, you will see on our compatibility chart a Protocol Selection section which will say either Via Screen Selection or Via Switch, it is at the very right hand side of the chart.

Thanks. How about setting up duel elevators. The manual wants you to use channel 8 for the second servo but I have a 7 channel receiver. Right now I'm using channel 5 as a slave (ch 2 & ch 5) but if you switch an assigned switch, it causes one elevator half to move full deflection. That's dangerous if it gets hit by mistake. Is there a better way to achieve this? Thanks.

Go to the Aux-Ch menu and turn off the switch for channel 5. Problem solved!

tried it. If i make channel 5 null then the servo defaults to the full deflection position. Everything is almost normal otherwise. I say almost because full stick in the up position and one surface has slightly more travel than the other. Must be an adjustment somewhere I guess.

I just went and tried it on mine and when I set channel 5 to Null on the Aux-ch page, channel 5 sits at exactly 0 on the servo readout. It sounds like you have some other function or mix activated that is causing channel 5 to default to full deflection.

I'm sure that's the case. I noticed that the main trim only works on one side too, just for kicks.

In the P-mix, there's an option to turn on trim linking to the slave channel. You'll also need to turn that on to get normal dual-elevator mixing.

Hi

I also could not find a manual for my R617FS receiver. Do they reccomend to wrap the receivers in foam like they did with the old 72 stuff ?

I have one of Futabas FASST micro receivers that are designed for the carbon composite planes and they say not to wrap them.

No need to wrap it in foam. I mount mine with velcro or 3M Dual lock.

I don't wrap mine in foam but I do lay them on foam and then use a Velcro strap to hold them.
