Hey guys, I am looking for my next plane. I will be using a DLE 55 for power. I have a 2.6m Comp ARF extra 330 that I lucked into and got a good deal on, but in the interest of $$$, I am going to have to go with a 50cc this time. I hope that I'm not going to be too badly spoiled by the excellent flight quality of the larger plane, but I just can't get past the fact that to start from the ground up and put together another 100cc bird will cost almost exactly DOUBLE what it will cost to go with a 50cc size plane. Anyhow, I think I have narrowed it down to three and was looking for some input/direction from those who have experience with one or more of my choices. I will use my 2.6m for more IMAC type aerobatics (not as violent or close to the ground)
and I would like to use my 50cc plane for more 3D type stuff. So, given that, here are the ones that I am looking at:Aeroworks 50cc Extra 300 TOC 30% Yak Aeroworks 50cc Ultimate Bipe Fire away! ![]() P.S. Thanks in advance for any input

I would say the TOC yak. Yaks are all around good flying airplanes expecially the TOC.
I know its not on the list but I fly a 3dhobbyshop slick 540 with a dle-55 up front and I LOVE IT!!! It flys like its on rails....best plane ive ever flown hands down |

Yeah there are lots of good planes out there. 3Dhobbyshop for sure and also look at the Extreme Flight Yak or Extra. I have them both and let me tell you I just never get used to how great they fly. They're 3D monsters. I like to fly the larger 50cc planes and 3Dhobbyshop and Extreme Flight are the best out there. Another big 50cc plane is the H9/Carden Yak but I don't think it's in the same league as the other two. It is light though.

Aeroworks Extra 300 50cc for a lasting model or a 3DHS SHP for crazy unlimited 3D. Aeroworks models are a little heavy by nature but you can always power it up with the amazing BME 58cc... lighter and more power than the DL
Get away from TOC (too heavy) and from the Ultimate... Just my 2 cents |

My 50cents will be with AW 300, 260 or EF Yak 54.

Check out the Bill Hempel YAk 55. Its painless to assemble and fly’s awesome. The price will be very competitive, its going to be around the $500 mark.

Although I don't have any experience with either of the Aeroworks airplanes, I have flown the TOC Yak. It flew good, more precise and groovy than most Yaks but it was pretty heavy and needed a lot more power than the canned DA-50 that was on it.
I have also flown the 3DHS Slick with a pipe (Tank's airplane) and it is incredible. Nice and groovy because of the long tail moment, but OH MY GOD does it 3D well. It actually goes backwards when you do a parachute. Really an awesome little airplane. Plenty of power. I haven't flown the Extreme Flight stuff but I have one of their smaller airplanes and it is very good, and I hear great things about the larger stuff. The market for this size of airplane is saturated...you have a LOT of choices. There are a lot of good choices, but a lot of bad choices as well. Don't try to save money with an unproven airframe or you'll be really frustrated.

For IMAC take a look at the TT TOC 30% Extra 260 also.

To me one of the very best 50CC planes on the market today for both IMAC and 3D flying.

Ive owned many Aeroworks planes. Their 75cc Extra 260, 120,50cc,100cc Yak and 50cc Pitts. They are well built, sturdy planes and there customer service is very good too. With that said, I recently purchased my first Extreme Flight 50cc Extra 300. All I can say is "WOW". In my opinion, it flies better than my Aeroworks. Thats just my .02 cents.

I would say go for a Extreme flight I (had) a Aeroworks Extra 300 50cc, it flew nice but now I'm getting a Extreme flight, basically what it came down to was the aeroworks weighed 17lbs and has 1300sq" and the extreme flight probably very close in weight from what I've heard has 1450sq" thats quite a substantial difference and will greatly assist in 3d especially for harrier's I could never do a harrier with the aeroworks that felt locked in enough to bring it down lower.
