Now why would you want to do that. LOL

If your fuse is really 14 lbs. as shown in the pictures, I think your about 8 or 9 lbs. over weight, and you are going to need to strip that bady down and send the beavers in. From what I see up front, it appears there is enough lumber for a couple of airplanes, so I am sure the same applies under all that covering.

Yea, better start stripping it down. You will be much happier in the long run. Wat to heavy. What plane is that anyways??

Wow - That so needed to be said!!
(sorry off topic)

My Godfrey Laser 200 was 14.5# empty with gear assembled. (no radio or engine) The DA85 is linked so it won't go full throtle and still has a hard time trying to ease up for this thing. I wish I had stayed with the DA50.

Chuck the pants, CF gear & spinner,Kavan wheels, few more holes in that brick Sh!thouse engine box (or replace it), smaller two line gas tank.

Ditto. That plane lost all hope once it got glassed and painted. And it's an old design. Buy a H9 35% 260 and you'll have a bigger plane that's a good 8 pounds lighter.

that is certainly going to be a tough one. Depending on how much it would effect your balance I would think about carbon all around. Carbon gear will probably save you about 8oz, carbon wing and tail tubes will help also.

The biggest problem you have is the fact that it is all painted

Guess I just don't get it guys.
Fuse is 14# + 5# wings. What does all your equipment weigh?
( I do not know what a 100cc w/ muffs. and the arm load of servos and extensions would weigh)

Pilot-RC 35% Extra 260 CF ARF
Wingspan: 106" (2.69m)
Wing Area: 2028 sq in (13084 sq cm)
Fuselage Length: 90 in (2.3m)
Weight: 27 lbs (12.24 kg
Engine: 100cc

AeroWorks Extra 300 100cc ARF-QB
Wingspan: 106"
Wing Area: 1950 sq in
Weight: 27 to 28 lbs
Engine: 100cc

Dietrich 100cc Extra 300 ARF
Dietrich Decals Not Included
This plane was designed to compete with the 40% Scale airplanes on a more affordable budget. The massive size of this Extra has many benefi ts over the competion. An extremely light weight design for its size. 27 lbs with canisters will leave the competion behind.

Trash it man and re build you cant fix that. It will take you just as long to rebuild as it would to re make.
