Default Ultra RC 29% Giles?

Are they good or bad? What engines are you guys running? 3D ok?
Even just tell me about them and your setup.
Does anyone have any Pictures and OR Videos of the UL GILES???
I am interested in getting one.

Jamie

GREAT 3d plane, made for it. My friend chris had the prototype, and i got to fly it, and it is awesome. was running an OS 1.60 FX and power was insane. awesome flat spins, harriers, waterfalls, rolling harriers, torque rolls, everything.

http://www.ultrarc.com/videos/Giles202UL.wmv

there's a video of chris flyin at his local field. Another good motor choice is the Evo 26cc

You think a 3w-24 would be enough for 3d?

How is it on low speeds and stalling? Does it have the snapping problem like the other GILES?

In the video on their website, it floats....I think a lot of the Giles that have snap problems are more scale and heavy. Anyone have one with the brison 2.4 and if so how much does it weigh?

Guess they havent fixed the email problem, I didnt realize anyone has posted...

This Giles is SOLID in all aspects of flight, Precision is smooth and 3D is Rock Solid...

No Snapy feeling at all...even with a heavy brison 2.4...

If you do the OS 1.6 on it you can be assured of a Foamy type glow plane...

Im diggin mine very much...its different and gets a ton of attention...

No snapping at alll??!?!?! WOW I am impressed. What if you put a smoke system on it? Would it be too much weight at lower performance and start snapping?
Why does't it snap like the rest of them?

You were saying it gets a ton of attention? Why is that?

It's light and has larger wing chord then others.

Hey it gets a lot of attention because its BAD ASS!!! and when I fly it I show no mercy, it takes so much punishment its not even funny...

I should be getting this other one on in the air soon...vid will follow shortly after that..

Its every bit as good as the Extreme Flight Yaks...

IT FLYS LIKE A BIG PLANE!!! Period...

No snapping? That because it's designed like a fun fly wing. Kinds of like a U-Can-Do, H9 Twist....you get the picture. Now...it still does have a swept wing, so I'm sure if the wing loading is pushed...it will tip stall like any Giles. If you stick with the lighter engine, ZDZ, 3W, DA, you get the picture....you will be ok. But put on a heavier engine like a zenoah, quadra, or something similar, with smoke you may be pushing the limits. It's all about weight and wing loading. It's impossible to predict when the flight envelope will suffer due to weight....so unless someone has the exact setup your thinking about.....which hasn't been posted....it's hard to tell.
