FLying Tiger is right. I understand the weight issue with 3D pilots. But having it too light makes the airplane bouncy in the air. It may fly like a foamie but you pay a price in tracking.

If you check out the other sites I think you'll find that most guys looking to get into gas are looking at a 50cc ARF. Of course you could do what everyone else does and put out both. Whatever you do good luck with it. Got to look out for my home boys!! LOL
Gee, I thought my 50cc was a GIANT.

Guess that "past tense" is more correct than ever now fer sure.
I do manage a small 85cc Laser in my Pathfinder now tho. Ijust have to put the entire tail back together to fly and by.

What will you be doing different with your ARF's? What changes do you think need to be made?

Sorry guys, i totally disagree that if it's too light it wont fly nice especially if there is a breeze. i actually think the oposite happens. i think there is no such thing as too light... That's like having too much money, cant be done.

30cc, 50cc and 100cc.

I'd skip the 80cc (33%).

Chris,

Not much changes in these run as yet. Maybe in the future. Currently, just planning a little more option.

I think there would be a market for a 50cc KIT. It would introduce new people coming into the giant scale realm who want to build an airframe. Just might start a boom in kit building all over again. Then most of these guys might not be too intimidated at picking up a larger kit to build in the future. Still market the ARFs, you will still sell alot of those, but this idea will renew the kit building area with younger people involved. Design 5 different schemes as an option, with precut monokote, make all the colors match up in any scheme so that people have a choice of changing things up, or they can do their own scheme like you would any regular kit. Have a base model option on quality hardware and gear, or a choice for good brand items to an option for top shelf items. I guess setup a tier system. I don't know, seems like a good idea to me.

Here's an idea for the kit in the 50cc size. If the costs are low enough make it a partial kit. The fuse is lazer cut and stringers and the wings are built (or sheeted). Make it so minimal sanding of the leading edges and hinge lines need to be done. That, I think is the part people screw up the most in a build (besides the plane not being straight)

I hope someone starts bringing 100cc scale aircraft to market. You can only see so many YAK's, Extra's or the Edge before you get a headache.

There is a real market for 100c scale aircraft. Cessna 182, Taylorcraft, Warbirds...just to name a few.

Mokken I think a line of 100cc warbirds would sell great but probably not to this crowd. Still I think there would be a large market for them.
