Default ken's 126 carden

i'm starting this thread to keep my son informed on the progress or lack of, to let the rest of you keep me from doing something stupid, i guess the place to start is inventory everything, clean up the build area and read the instruction manuel which may take awile. gary

Congratulations on getting your new kit. You should enjoy the quality and the way it goes together. Is that Duct Tape holder the table top together?

no actualy i used the duct tape to shim the top level, which is not shown 2 layers on one end 1 on the other the table has a high spot in the middle, but keep me straight thanks gary

Did you give up on the lightening of the 35% or just put it aside?

Just FYI: the fuse trusses themselves are about 82" long

put it aside tell i get my son extra built. he's off to college and maintaining his grades, dosen't get to come home often so this thread is to let him no how things are going on his imac plane. the top that goes on my table is 5/8 particle board thats 3' by 8' so should be enough, gary

got a little done today took half the day getting the table level enough to suit me, got some work on the motor box

motor box is done, everything nice and square, started the second fuse side, realy a nice kit the tab lock or watever they call it sure makes it easy, gary

it's time i asked for some help, i need to set up some servo mounts in the tail, back in the day we used 3 inch pices of bass wood fastened to the sheeting, but with todays hight torgue servos what i know about isn't good enough, i need to now location's for servos, control horns styles sizes and distances apart i don't think make that now what i need' it was recomended that i use a top of the line jr or futaba servo one on each elevator and a push pull on the rudder, any help or sugestions would greatly be apreciated,
