Default Hobby Shop Fredericksburg Virginia

Does anyone know of a good RC shop in Fredericksburg? I am working down here this week and would like to go visiting.........and shopping too!

Richmond is on Monday so that info would be welcome too.

Thanks for any ideas.

There is a really good one in Charlottesville, but that may be a bit too far for you to drive. They carry Giant scale stuff and gas engines in stock. If you feel up to the drive the name is University Dive and Hobby Center. Prices are better there too than any hobby store I have been in and most internet prices. ie. Zoar 27 X 10 pre-drilled prop for $34.00.

Small is'nt the right description, more like tiny, but he did have the bolts that I needed. Got to the flying field around the corner, only to realize that I forgot my bin of bolts.

I should just keep individual servo boxes with the appropriate screws, nuts and bolts in their respective planes. See, I have a bin that holds all the nuts and bolts and spare whatevers for the four planes that I have flyable right now. For helis, I have about 7 identical bins that hold nuts, bolts, screws, servos, gyros, etc., which all come to the field with me. Seems like my friends benefit from that more than it does me. But you just never know!

Jim,

I'm sure you know about Hobby Hanger in Chantilly and may plan on this already but I'd make sure to run your trip home through Chantilly, out to Leesburg and up Rt 15 to Frederick.

They have the best selection I've ever seen in a local hobby shop- a little pricy - but they have just a ton of inventory.

And if Hobby Hangar does'nt have it, they'll order it for you, and have it drop shipped to your house. Use to work there, best hobby shop!!!

Thanks for the feedback. Yes Dave, I will be driving home by way of Mr Ko's store! He and I met way back in the late eighties when I worked for Doug's. We used to call eachother when we were looking for something to hook a customer up quick and we were out of stock. I have kept contact with them over the years and visit as often as I can. Great shop.

Charlottsville is a bit of a haul for this weeks activites but I will keep it in mind as I am traveling a LOT these days.
