Default DLG

I have wanted to do one of these Discuss launch gliders (DLG) for some time but my other hobby interest have always taken priority (helo's, GS, funflys). After my visit to the Tuscon Shootout (2009) I watched the young Ryan Archer drag this little glider to the flight line and rip this thing a solid 100' and cruise around for a bit then catch the thing and repeat the process. While I stood in amazment I looked around to see it anybody else was seeing this, Yes ther where and there was a couple more guys killing it with these in the parking lot. OK, get home do some research and a couple nites back I ordered this one http://www.wrightbrothersrc.com/products/gambler.htm. I am in the process of reading this thread http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=504554 and will do a build thread here on FG. I havent gotten a confirmation email from wrightbrotherrc yet but I hope to have the bird by months end. I guess one more addiction couldnt hurt? See you guys here when I arrives.

cant wait for pics, I have a binary 900 inthe box,, I need to build.. But your right The 3ders and gassers take my attention alot of the time but after 3 years flying real gliders I always find my way back. I have a few things I need to build this winter before I decide to get more new ones. When I had my alula working it was soo great to just hop into th back yard and get 40-50 tosses after work, and just relax.. try doing that with a big gasser let us know how it goes.

Ok as you can see quality Dubro hardware,a nice manual with color pics detailing the steps that could throw a curve at teh ieginer or novice builder. all the included cloth (carbon ribbon included) the carbon throwing peg, Beautiful quality sheeting a carbon fuse tube (pre notched) and the laser cut pieces are perfect in both quality of cut and quality of wood. I didnt get a pic of those pieces but I will get them before assembly. Already super impresed with the kit.

I have some fresh thin CA and some Ploy for the glass work. For equipment I am going to run some JR S75's and a spectrum A6000. Battery is still up in the air. There are alot of options and as many opions on the subject. I will order the covering from the local hobby shop early next week some Ultracoat-lite in clear and Transparent Red or Pink. Havent made the decesion yet.
