A 40% Carden 330 with a DA-150 and KS1090 pipes.

Is it February yet??!!??

picking up a (used) plane on Sunday.. it's a Jim Pepino Waco, going "back to glow" with a Saito 450 radial engine, should be a great plane for a change of pace. Still a lot of work to do on it, so hopefully by spring I'll be stinking up the pitts with 30%!

got a new "old" plane for 2010. it's a 102" Gen 2 QQ Yak.

interesting story behind the plane that it had been one of QQ's personal planes - it was the back up trubine plane from a couple years back. the firewall was cut for the turbine mount but it was never mounted and the plane was never completed beyond that point. so the plane was never needed and ended up being passed around to a couple different people, but nobody ever assembled it. I got it late in the year and my father did an outstanding job getting it ready to fly

all of the gear is from my well seasoned 35% Radiocraft Extra. I am proud to say that THAT airplane has been passed onto a fellow young NC IMAC member and will continue the campaign next year for its 7th season (maidened at 2002 chicken wing)

Engine is a 3W 100toc (yeah, it's that old)
mix of Hitec 5945's and 7955's servos
JR 9100 Rx with 2x A123 batts

all gear removed from Radiocraft and installed in the QQ, added 1 7955 for the rudder

it has 10 flights on it now since my dad brought it out to me last weekend

this will be my back up / practice / (hopefully) freestyle plane for 2010

* I want thank Rob Duley for the awesome pics from last weekend!*

going to fly the 40% Carden 260 again as my Primary IMAC plane for 2010.
