Default Great Planes Extra 300sp 40 size

Hey guys, my girlfriend really wants to buy me a plane for Christmas because she knows how much I love flying. Im really a big fan of gas and kinda moving away from glow, but the thing is, she's a full time nursing student in college and doesnt really have alot of extra cash to spend on a big glas plane. So, with that being said, I found the Great Planes Extra 300sp, its has a 55 inch wingspan and actually is a very attractive looking lil plane. You can put a two stroke .46-.55 on it. The more I read on it, the more I started to like it. If I get that, im definately going to put a O.S. .55AX on it, I like the idea of putting a lil bigger engine. So if you have one, are know someone who does, please share some info on it. Thanks.

Its a fun plane, my dad has one with a saito .82 in it and it flys it nicely, hovers nice. One thing i will is the pull out of a hover is on the weak side. If it were mine, it would have a saito 1.00 or a OS .95ax to have the crazy profromance i enjoy. If your into 3D, my opinion is a .55 isnt enough. If 3D isnt your thing, a 55 would be fine. The only reason i would say to put in a .95ax is cause it weights the same as a saito .82. And the plane balanced fine with where the manuel said to place everything. Just something to think about.
