Dear FlyingGiants Crew-

It brings us great pleasure to announce The 2006 GiantsStyle Video Contest! This contest is unlike any other, and promises to be more than entertaining for everyone involved -- including our members. Check it out...

The basic premise of the contest is this - FlyingGiants members from around the world are invited to enter, and submit the most outrageous modeling videos you've ever seen on the net! It's all about outrageous personalities, over the top flying, great music, and fun!

Got a warbird? Fly it. Got a ornithopter and a baseball bat? Let's see it. Got a T-REX chopping grass to industrial thrash punk? DOO IT! Can you pull off stab draggin' knife edge passes with your 40% while on roller skates? Get the picture?

Anything goes in this contest, and we're looking forward to taking this one to the next level! We're still in the preliminary planning stages and many announcements will be made in coming weeks. The contest will run through the summer, and the prize booty will be immense. Scouts honor.

I would like to add my talents for the contest. As all of you know,the yazz flute is my new passion. Ron Burgundy is a poser. He DID NOT play the flute, Will was just faking it. I do all my own playing. No Milly Vanilly here.
If any of you would like a musical interpretation of your flying, I would be willing to offer my services. As this contest is all about fun and sharing with the modeling community, my services will be gratis. I'm sure there will be a swarm of you trying to get a leg up on the competition by using my skills. Sadly, I can only spare enough time and energy for one lucky pilot.
Much like Spok and his Vulcan mind meld, it takes a tremendous amount of energy for me to perform. Going into a trans-like state when playing and being as one with the flute zaps me of my musical mojo pretty quickly.
Please send your requests to my management team. Sleepy C is in charge of booking my performance schedule. Contact him at sleepyc@flyinggiants.com for details. I will even waive my usual requirements of tour bus, aroma therapy candles and Sherpa. Be warned, Sleepy makes Arliss look like Captain Kangaroo. He will insist I can't play for free and bang you up for my usual fee. Remind him this is for the Giants.

TBD on that. Pretty sure we'll set a cutoff again about a week before we unleash the vids.. That gives us time to link names to profiles, blah blah.

Awesome Max! I wanted to enter last year, but had a few problems during the time of the contest and couldnt make the deadline. Hope to enter this year with a new plane! (and hopefully i will be able to learn to use a video editor)

Are you guys going to have diffrent classes this year also? (like Glow, Electric, Gas, and Helicopter) If you are, I might try my hand at a heli video also.
