Hey guys, trying to help a friend with his new Futaba 10CAG and seem to have an issue with getting it into the power down mode for range checking.
According to the manual when you enter the power down mode, the blue RF light should flash and the tx should beep every three seconds for a 90 second duration and then go to full power with a solid RF light and no beeps. When we enter the menu for selecting the power down mode you see the message about it loading and then this tx goes into the flashing blue RF light for about 2 seconds and then goes solid. We've not heard a beep out of the tx when trying this either. We're using the 7 channel R617FS rx with the appropriate transmission mode loaded and the model responds to the tx. Just need some help on whether or not we're doing something wrong when getting into the power down mode or if there might be a tx problem? Thanks! |

With the Tx off hold down the dial and turn the Tx on. Then release the dial and wait for power down screen(second or two) then press the dial one more time, you should enter power down at this time. If that does not work for you then something is wrong. After 90 seconds it will go into normal power mode. It's been 2 weeks so I'm sure you have the answer already but in case someone else pulls this up on a search I left a reply .

Thanks for the thought but surprisingly to me, someone over on RCU answered the question where it had been ignored here.
It was the menu that confused us not realizing it was a screen to select RF options rather than just the power down mode. So when it came up with "Power Down", "On" and "Off" we thought that referred to the power down mode only and kept selecting "On" rather than "Power Down"..... lol |
