Badass! Dallas Event-Giant Scale & 3D Jamobree

Well Guys this is the official announcement of the Dallas event for 2010.

Giant Scale & 3D Jamobree October 14th~17th

This year the event will be hosted by the T.U.F.F Club in Tyler, Texas

I am thankful that Mr. Tim Davies of the Heat Wave will be the Co-CD for this show.

Some may ask why The Golden Triangle is not hosting this year and I can say that a traveling Dallas event is more suitable to this area than a nailed down single club location that does not have a great deal of 3D interest, but Golden Triangle R/C Club will always be the place that I gave birth to the Giant Scale & 3D Jamobree, and the pilots gave birth to the Tri~State Shootout " it's all about the pilots"
and since I'm just a fun kinda guy, it makes all the since to me to have it hosted by a club that has fun in it's chartered name.

So are some highlights that is in a word FREAKING-FAN-TASTIC from Mr. E

Kyle Woyshnis (The Alien) Golden Triangle R/C Club Giant Scale & 3D-Jamboree 2009
http://www.youtube.com/user/677369

This is the one where Klye rips off a Wild Hare wing..good stuff

-------------NOTE from Mr.E on the above video---------------
<<<< Start Quote>>
Tehe, I will give you this... In the Marty Robbins song, if you think the picture on screen matched in some way with what was said in the song. You saw what you thought... For instance, pay attention when he talks about Felina casting a spell..
You have to have some fun when your doing this stuff!
<<<end quote>>>

So on to the menu you say:.
New Contest for 2010:

The Texas Stroke:----a separate sponsored event--1st, place trophy of two classes
can happen all at once like the shootout or by coordinating w/ Mr. E and judges at separate times " pilots choice"
you will be announced center stage when you get in the Stroking mode.

We all know what a pogo is

From MR. E Himself------------
" Same Judges as the Tri~State Shootout "

Mr. E reserves the right to toss in a twist or two,

1)You will be judged on straightness of hover, backing down and then back up ~~~~Texas Stroke Baby~~~~
1a) points will be added on the down line
ie: start at hover and then down is 10 points, example back up and then down again is 20 points
2) You will be judged against a 60 second horn~~~~
more strokes = more points~~~
~~~~~NO MEMBER TEAMS~~~~You and the clock
3) Two classes:
Power Glide & Super Stroker
3a)
highest points in the 60 seconds - both has 1st place trophies
4) The Power Glide Class will stay intentional same direction up and down for 60 sec's
The Super Stroker class will reverse directions on the way up or on the way down
<your choice, but every up or down must include an intentional reverse direction>
5) The Pilots will set their own height for the
Power Glide class
The Pilots will set their height for Super Stroke class
" Same Judges as the Tri~State Shootout "
In the box Contest,
What it is:
Tim Davies designates & outlines a square on the runway out of Police caution ribbon:
and you Hover with your tail in the box--- See 1st Video--
Simple, Right? << see the viedo
hehe..
Tri~State ShootOut----------------Defending State, Oklahoma
Top Dog Score---A Texan ~~ Mr. Johnathon Jennings " A Youngster --14 as of last June---
Competitors must PM me receive the sign up form when
Jason announces it's time to release the maneuvers
~~What the Tri~State Shoot is
9 Pilots fly last Years Known IMAC sequence- Teams of 3 from each state--
Oklahoma,TEXAS,Arkansas ( this is the order of last years Big dogs )
Raffles 7 PILOT PRIZES all 3 days, How the raffles will work.
SAME AS LAST YEAR:
ALL Awards and raffles will be handed out Saturday night,
It's only fair since many pilots drive from so far away.
Thursday at the field, all boxes will be opened and labeled and around 10 to 12 items will be set aside for cash raffles.
Their will three raffles cans, 1 will be labeled cash, 1st pull, 2nd pull.
Pilot Raffles:
Now when a pilots signs up, the pilots will receive 2 tickets free.
1 ticket will be placed in the cash can " yes you'll have a FREE chance for the cash raffle also "
the 2nd ticket will be placed in the can labeled 1st pull.
Now, when a pilot wins out of the 1st pull can " the ticket is placed in the 2nd can & not trashed"
when all registered pilots have received a prize from the 1st pull can, the 2nd can is pulled from so pilots keep winning over and over.
Rules are: Please buy as many cash tickets as you want for the cash raffles that will be held all weekend long but the pilots raffles can #1 and can#2 are just for pilots only and no one can buy any more chances for it.
I will also be walking up to pilots on the flight line with a mic and ask them to harrier land within a distance and hand them a prize and ON THE SPOT harriers, blenders and just fun stuff like that.
Oh and NO you can't fart in the mic................
**************The Tri~State Shoot**************************
Competitors must PM me receive the sign up form when
Jason announces it's time to release the maneuvers
9 Pilots fly last Yea,rs IMAC sequence- Teams of 3 from each state--
Oklahoma,TEXAS,Arkansas ( this is the order of last years Big dogs )
On the Tri~State shootout:
3 pilots from OK, 3 pilots from AR, and 3 pilots from TX make up the Tri~State Shootout
Should take a little under an hour to find a winner. .
Standings of 08-01-10
3 from Oklahoma <<<<<<<<<< Defending State >>>>>>
1 Jim Flanagan
2 Jared Clark
3 <<<<<<<< Still open>>>>>>>
3 from Arkansas
1 Josh Price
2 <<<open>> Jason Reddish ??
3 << Open >> Boomhauer ?
3 from Texas--------------------alternate Sammy Swink ---- Karl Hines
1 Charles Harris
2 Johnathan Jennings
3 rcgood Benjamin Gurau
If I have gotten this wrong ( tuff it, hehe... just let me know)
Now their has been some talk of a pro sliding in for each state or adding to the 3 pilots from each state
Jason has the answer on this question -- please say yes!
____He Said No!---
All 2nd & 3rd place Tri~State contestants will receive a participation award to take home and lie about why they didn't win and the 3 pilots that win from that state will take home separate winner Tri~State trophy's as well as a traveling blinged out trophy to pass around that year between them to bring back next year and fight like hell to keep it or go home with their tails between their legs. ( last year defending state is OKLAHOMA )
Come on TEXAS ------Charles Harris . Johnathan Jennings. Benjamin Gurau --
Tri~State Shootout rules
Judge's Manager - Jason Danhakl
1. are according to a 3 min 2009 XFC Arestie
must include (1) " known maneuver from the 2009 XFC season & it's your choice of which one to do. the rest is hucking it.
Jason Danhakl , Rick Byrd , Lyndel Roe, Kyle Woyshnis, Keith Commander will be the judges & WILL NOT BE COMPETING. But I will ask for demo's---- hehe
Competitors Bring your own music or choose from the event music
"Tim Davies will bring his selection from the heatwave also"
Tim Davies / The Heatwave will be providing the audio " bring any music you have on any format "
Pilots Saturday lunch is provided with sign up
and dinner you guys can discuss on what you want or go to dinner, their is a great upscale seafood restaurant
right beside the field, Mexican food--it's all up to you,
just remember that Saturday later evening are the awards presentation and raffle's and I will not hold them up for Sunday.
It's only fair to those that have Travleled from so far.
Along with all their talents, we need John & Jerad from Mo to join forces and and hopefully John's hummer won't be vandalized this year at the motel
" that so pissed me off ". Well that and the rain
The Tx Snap will happen a couple times each day.
What it is as posted by TEX,
And as always the Giant Scale & 3D Jamobree sponsors will be many and we all appreciate the fun of receiving the walk around throw out prizes, that was off the hook, Right?
This year Gmoney is the event cornatior responcable for making
sure the donations come in and the sponcers are well taken care of
Better awards -- " looks to the same as Josh's from the HuckFest This year
" The talent just blew me away last year and it's more than earned"
More to come as well as a separate single page on the T.U.F.F Club's web site that is all about this one event with lodging and of course the after hours attractions.
Until then, Hang T.U.F.F as we in the T.U.F.F club promote
Ron,
Jared and I will try to attend this year again. We had a great time last year even though it rained and somebody broke into my Hummer and stole things out of it. We have events planned for this year already, but I think your date is open. I will have to see how the money situation is also. 14 month's without a job is not helping things. But hey, we still gotta fly our planes right.
Keep in touch,
Ron,
You're right about the talent that made it.
2" of rain didn't scare the born again hard-core.
By the time we left, that place looked like the "Delta Tau" house the morning after in Animal House.
Just carry your plane over the taxiway and put it on "that part" of the runway.
Im not sure we can make the Texarkana flyin, cause we are going to nall. But I will push for yours Ron. I sure hated missing last year, cause I practiced alot for it, being unemployed sucked last year. We have tp limit our long haul events, especially now with Bobs 55%. It will fit in his van, but thats it. And taking an 11hr+ drive in 2 vehicles just dont make good sence.
