I agree with Seneka, DL-50's are just as good as a DA-50. In fact they have a little more power and same weight. I'm going to put one on my new PAU Extra 330L 87".
Oh and Luke, it's Dlusa.net :P |

I have seen a lot of different combinations on Lanier planes. Honestly, the best flying combo IMO is the Evo 58.

go with a DA-50 one of my friends had a DL-50
first 10 flights ran very good no problem at all then he started having major problems, so I would go with a Da-50 or Evolution 58 for more power!!

I would say a DL-50 with A123's to save weight!

VIC I was thinking of the EVO 58 as well, what do you know about the quality of the EVO compared to DA ? I would love to get the extra .8 HP punch the EVO can provide over the DA50 and would also benefit from the extra weight for balancing

HTS, Evolutions are nice engines. DA is still beating them though. I've heard some complaints, not that many though. You are adding 17 oz more if you go with the evo though. A guy at my feild has unlimited vertical with his 18.5 lb aeroworks yak with a da-50. I've seen it take off like a space shuttle
. DA-50 is fine, but I would reccomend a DL-50. GREAT engine! quality is just as nice as a DA-50, just not as shiney. Look at it: www.Dlusa.netPS, I do like that the 58 comes with the ignition, the 48 or what ever it was didn't. |

SP unless you are getting a good share people would wonder why you are preaching about the DL. For God sake those engines have been in the market for less then 1 year, how can you judge an engine in such a short period ?
DA man all the wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy ![]() ![]() ![]()

could be the case, but I won't risk my money. ANyway I respect everyone's choice, the DL should have proven itself to get this much attention. I am in too much of a conflict between the 50cc and 85cc don't want to get more lost with the DA/DL fight. Anyway guys, anyone with reports on the DA85 mounted ?
