HTS... A DL is a great engine, just because somthing is new doesnt mean it's bad or it doesnt work. These engines have been tested ALOT. DA's are awesome too, Same as the DL, but I would rather go with the cheaper engine. I'm 14, I don't have a steady income, I have to go with the cheap option that will be the best bang for your buck.

dude a dl-50 i a great engine it has to be one of the best 50cc out there and at a great price. hts drop your crap. let him buy his own engnie.........

Finally the good news is here. I have built a Lanier edge 540 to a friend “alan” in our club www.amazrc.com with a DA-85 and he did yesterday the very successful test flight. Believe me guys this “discontinued” bird is great with the DA-85 and the CG was perfect, it was really balanced. I did some reinforcement to the firewall and surely some adjustment since the slimline muffler was big enough to hit the firewall box at the bottom. I will provide you soon with some pics.

dude my bud had a peak models 65cc engine in that exact plane. his came out to 18.5lbs and was ballistic. the engine ran great it smoked my DA50. his vids are on you tube under lanier edge 540 peak models 65cc. the engine is around $ 300 and it was stellar on that airframe.

first 10 flights ran very good no problem at all then he started having major problems, so I would go with a Da-50 or Evolution 58 for more power!!
