Setting up SwitchGlo with JR 12X

OBJECTIVE: When the transmitter is turned on, the S.G. is active at the Low Throttle. When flipping AUX2 switch to the Middle Position, it turns off the S.G. totally. This is useful when making adjustments with having the potential for the engine to start. When switching AUX2 into the Down Position, it overrides any throttle position. When the S.G. goes out you can quickly switch the AUX2 switch up and them back down to turn the S.G. on.
PROCEDURE: This will require the use of 2 free mixes. I am using the JR R1221 2.4 receiver with the S.G. unit plugged into AUX3. This is a setup for the Extreme Flight 58” Extra 300 converted to Glow Power.
MIX #1: I used [PROG. MIX4]. Select a Curve setting. Set all the settings as below for Pos. 0.

The second part of the mix will be setting up Pos 1. Set up all the settings as below.

That’s it for Mix 1. You can play around with the THRO STK position as you see fit. Mine is set up to turn off right below half throttle.
MIX #2: I used [PROG. MIX5]. Select a Curve setting. Set all the settings as below for Pos. 0.

That’ pretty much it. Keep in mind that you will have to play with the Reverse positions of the throttle servo itself and the Reverse switch on the S.G. unit itself. I found myself having to reverse the Throttle Servo in the radio and setting the S.G. unit to the – position.
I’m sure there are many more ways to set it up, but I could not find too many examples for the JR 12X.
