Redneck Heaven

I'm in Springfield MO. This week staying in the LaQuinta (Means Next to Denny's) and just down the street is the original redneck heaven Bass Pro Shop. I could not resist going in there just to see for myself. They got it all, Talking deer heads, redneck joke teeshirts you know the ones lite throw and scoop and the ever popular spot shoot and run. I also saw the final swimming spot for gerty the 20lbs bass god rest her soul. went into the fine gun room and they didn't have a mossberg or a remington in site, fine gun room indead, no self respecting redneck would have one of those hoity toity over and under guns. The shooting gallery had deer squirrels rabbit ducks you name it they had it to shoot. they have every kind of fishing equipment known to mankind excluding the dynamite. all the hunting stuff from deer stands to foot warmers,the kind with batteries. they've got Dale Earndhart Jr gear Budweiser gear and to top it all off they even have a two fine eating places, some place called hemingways and another one that no self respecting redneck could pass up McDonalds. I could have spent days in there but I only had a couple of hours. I know what you thinking, I get the catalog whats the difference, well kids the difference is you don't get that loveley fish smell from the catalog like you do when walk through the door. I was fairly excited about being there and could hardly hide it I think i'm gonna need some of that new product chopped is pedalling in another thread i think its call This Stroke Ain't No Joke lotion or skin cream or something like that.

I found one of those joints on the way back to Atlanta from the NALL last year. Man I came close to being an overstayer in that fine old part of the world. I could have spent a week in that place and still had fun.

Yes I get the catalogue and its about as interesting as Banks quoting poetry with ten captains under the hood.

The Bass Pro in St Charles, MO is pretty nice they let us bring in 15-20 greyhounds from rescued racers for meet and greets once a month and are very accommodating to us.

its a great place. I had to keep saying to myself "I fly airplanes as a hobby" to keep from buying any fishing stuff.
