Default Red Lion Gas Engine

Anyone know any thing about this motor. Comes as a 58cc.
I see Chief Aircraft is selling them.

I know they have been in the UK for a while but have not heard good or bad about them.

Looks like another spin off of some other engines coming out of China.

There web site does not work. ??

I own one and have it mounted on my 30% WH Edge. Have yet to run it.... picked it up at "The Nall". Anyone have any experience running one yet? I'm guessing another week and I'll get a chance to do the initial break in and will start flying within 2 weeks. Not in a big rush and I have to figure out how to rebalance the plane as the engine swap (amongst a few other changes) has dropped the weight of the airplane and caused a tail-heavy condition. I like the lower weight but need some more up front.

It's my understanding that this engine is being put out by EG Aircraft. As far as "word has it" I think I would wait for someone to actually run one and post some video before hyping it. LOL

EG even ships their planes with a 2' x 2' page of graphics for them. Funny I could get the stickers but not the engine! LOL

I think it would be hard to get information on it when there web site gives zero information.

Just like the new REV engines, it is out but nobody wants to take claim to manufacturing it, Like I was told by somebody, Guess we call it a python engine

Yes EG is making the engine, they are working hard on the web site and the engine can be bought in the states. I have just finished putting together my OMP Extra and flew it with the REDLiON 58. i dont have RPM's yet but i know that it swong a 23x8 hard and preformed well. I will try and get numbers on it tonight.

I also have there prototype 30cc redlion engine, i am putting together a slipstream sbach. It is also made by EG aircraft, EG is coming out with great stuff and there 30cc line is going to grow.

At OMP we are working on new planes as well 150cc and 30cc, look for new items like wheels, servo arm's and pilot heads and many others out of EG Aircraft

Just ran mine for the first time this weekend, and it is tacking at 6200rpm with a 23X8.

It is still real rich and pull the plane very nice

Red Lion come with 58cc, and later 32cc, 116cc etc, slowly, not fast like other brands, in order to get great performance,
