Default Futaba 9 Cap help!

HI guys, posting for a fellow Giant . He bought his 2nd 9CAP. It is a 9C Super actually. He is quite familiar with them since this is his 2nd. He dropped the 1st one and it in the Futaba tech now. So, he is setting up an H9 Extra 260. Using the PCM RX that came with the Super. Yes, the crystal is in and correct. He has switched it from PPM to PCM. He rebooted it, and it does say PCM in the corner. NOTHING. Nothings working. He put another pcm RX that has worked in the past with another crystal. Changed switches, changed batteries, everythings checking out A ok. Is the TX broken out of the box? Its working just fine on ppm on his foamies and so on. Whats going on? What else to try?

I have two thoughts. My best guess would be that something is wrong in the programing from the factory. That could be causing it to not recognize/accept a PCM signal, but still recognize/accept the PPM signal. My second idea, try disabling the fail-safe, maybe it is atomatically going into fail-safe for no reason at all. If that's not the problem, I would say call Futaba and send it back to them. SInce this is the second one, I'm sure they would be happy to give him something like a 12Z or 14MZ if you sent them a letter or gave them a call....LOL.....I'm interested, keep us posted.

He used 2 PCM Futabas that he had, He then used the one that came with it and it worked great. It works great with the provided PCM RX, but wont with PCM rx's that worked just fine with his old 9C that should be in the mail back from Futaba as we speak. Now we're baffled. Works with the 9channel PCM, but not his 1 year old 8 channels... Hmmm
