It is no secret that Jody @ valley View RC is the main guy in the US with DLE engines.
If there is anything to know about the engine he knows it.
That is even true of rumors and the DLE-170 rumor is true.
On another website he has said that the DLE-170 is in the works.

I can't wait.
It would be nice to get a 170 for $999.00 ( hopefully ).
What do you guys think?

I asked on RCU and Jodi did say something is in the works. Good times! A $900ish 170cc motor that's reliable?

looks great, some of the largest exhaust ports on a model plane engine..Q 100s were the largest so far, Peak 65 pretty close...
Can't be a clone, there are no red anodized aluminum bolts in it
They have the technology, how about a 340 flat four ??

A little 120 flat four would be pretty slick too..
We got some great videos today in Flagstaff, elevation around 7000...39 lb Extra with 222 and a BIG DA 170 powered bipe...Should have a youtube link soon...

Funny I was thinking the same thing when I looked at the pictures. As you said a 60cc with angled plugs would be sweet indeed.
