There you go Dorado, sparking my interest again!!!

100cc would be a good choice, in my opinion, or maybe the BME 110. My reasons are as follows,

1. Even though my ZDZ-80, currently on a 30% Yak, would pull it around insanely, I understand the twin cylinder engines are smoother, less vibration = less airframe damage. You could put the servo's in the tail which would help to compensate for the heavier engine. My understanding is the BME 110 is lighter than my 80cc.

2. As stated above, my 30% Yak has a ZDZ-80, which shows you that I have a tendancy to over power planes a little, just a little

That's it, I just like overpowered airplanes!!!

Kenny you'd be suprised on how smooth the 80 is compared to the twin's. i had a bme 102 that would vibrate the airframe...like you know what

When I was looking into buying a gasser last spring one I looked at had the BME 102. Oh my gawd, it was on an Aeroworks 33-35% Edge...shook the snot out of that plane!!!!!

I, too, like to overpower my planes...flown both overpowered and so-so powered planes...like driving a car and passing tractor-trailer's...you like having reserve power!!!

My intuition is 100cc...Ken, great suggestion about the servo's in the tail...the next plane I have cut I will do that...will add about 3oz with 2 serv, titanium rods, and hardware.

As far as vibration goes, I'm pretty sure it will work. The CF i have in this design in key places should xfer the vibes ok.

My plan, too, is to completely Kote the airframe to "seal" up the material and look cool!...my Kote skills could be better, though, esp the Kote over Kote (layered) way.

Ive designed a CF motor mount that is way cool!! Post details on the next project.

Dorado

PS- how much would a professional cover job cost??? Thinking 3-4 colors.
