No, the wires don't rub. Everyone does it that way.
If you get ready to order, let email us and we can do a combo deal with you for an engine too. |

I got to fly mine a few times this weekend.
It is a real nice plane. Only thing I would say bad is it is hard to tell top from bottom on the wing. I think I will change the green to white on the bottom of wing I think it will help alot And with the kind permission from selfportrait We have the graphics as seen in the photo for the Gary Ward for sale please see my web site

Tail Feathers are installed and it's starting to look a little more like an airplane. Parts bolted on easily. Be sure the use a little Blue Locktite on your screws.

My next step is to put some power on the business end. I chose the DA-50-R from Desert Aircraft with a Slimline Pitts-Style muffler. Dave Johnson and his team does a hell of a job. American made, extremely reliable, lightweight and powerful. I'm taking this off anther airplane and it has never quit on me.
I used the supplied template which was a perfect fit over the firewall. It just snapped into place. With a 1/4" bit, I drilled four holes and then marked the location of my throttle linkage pass-through. I drilled that out also. |

I used a ratchet wrench to install the bolts behind the firewall. There was plenty of room and it was no problem. I used washers and Locktite.

DA-50 installed. I like to use zip ties for attaching things inside my airplane. Unlike glue, they won't come unstuck, and unlike screws, they won't come out. For my ignition module, I made a foam padded mounting plate from ply. I zip the module to the plate and zip the plate to the engine box. Easy, and give us a little protection from vibration.
Many ways to do this. I try to keep it simple. I'll make another hole for the battery connection wire. You can also see my choke wire already installed. There's a aluminum plate bolted to the standoffs to support the wire. I just reach right inside the air intake to choke the engine. From what I see, a lot of guys do this or something similar. |

The engine box is already fuel proofed, but the best thing to use is water based polyurethane. It's like painting it with liquid plastic. Plus, cleans up with water.

It has, but It wouldn't hurt to do more. Plus, keep you out of trouble for a while.
