Gotcha covered already on that one Fick. Right now I have the AR-50 from Armalite (www.armalite.com) but I am trying to get my hands on another rifle in .50BAR from Barrett (www.barrettrifles.com). Unfortunately, in CT, its classified as an assualt rifle (even though it weighs 41 pounds) because its a semi-auto and .50BAR to boot. I will have one eventually, but its a slow process right now. The Armalite does a great job though... Coyotes in the SE-CT area have been known to mysteriously vaporize at distances of up to 800 yards.... But at 7 bucks a shot, ammo gets expensive!

On the Barret site http://www.barrettrifles.com/ (you forgot the r in rifles) the model 99 hunter, Are they selling that as a hunting rifle?

Thanks! I fixed that link! I know they do sell the 99 as a hunting rifle for wild and dangerous game. In PA, I know of some guys that hint black bear with a .50. They shoot from hill top to hill top with them. No range limitations with those things.

It sucks to be anything alive in PA in the woods when its hunting season... its like a war zone out there. I had one round go over my head during deer season, and was almost shot by a turkey hunter that was stalking my callin the spring after the deer-incident... Never hunted in PA again after that. But man o man do they have some bruiser deer out there, especially Western PA.
