Default Re: PILOT BUST FOR CA MODEL 34% EXTRA

I know what you mean about how a pilot bust looks. But my observation is that almost every bust I see is way too small for the plane. The planes we model are very small planes. A six foot tall man completely fills his portion of the cockpit of an Extra, Edge, Cap, etc. Yet, the models I see have tiny pilot figures which are not true to scale (unless the pilot is tiny, like Patty Wagstaff.) I would think that a six-foot+ tall pilot in a full-size Extra who is wearing a helmet would need to be carefull not to hit the canopy with it.

And that same pilot spans the width of the cockpit completely, too. Also, you'll notice the front (passenger) position is very tight with the seat positioned low, I presume to allow the pilot (who is seated in the rear) a better view.

I'm not saying that your F1 is the right size, rather what I'm saying is that most pilot figures I see are too small.

Enjoy your Colombo!
