Chuck,

That has to have been the longest five minutes in history.

Sorry for not getting back but had some bushfires to put out on another thread and failed to get back.

Ok go to the tool bar on this web page and it says Mondo Media, go to Member videos and click on it.

Now in the top right hand of the page you see where it says UPLOAD MEDIA. Click on it.

That will bring up a page with a drop down window so you can choose the catagory to upload your video into.

Pick the one that suits, then go to browse on the panel that says select media to upload. NOTE!!!! you can only upload one video at a time. Click on browse and that will lead you to your own HD. Find the folder (if you remembered where you stashed it) and double click on it. The file address on your HD will appear in the window.

Fill in the rest of the details in the windows below, comments etc and click on upload. Go make a coffee etc and be patient. When the media has uploaded a new window will appear and there you can modify your comments, add a picture or change the title of the video. If your happy with waht you have then go to the bottom of the page and click on the button to confirm all is well. Seconds later your vid is on the site ready for the world to enjoy.

I hope that was as un geek as possible.

Hi guys,

There is a 50mb cap on media uploads, that prolly why the 71mb one was failing. Im on comcast as well, and amazingly enough, I typically see 35-50kb speeds when uploading stuff. At that rate, a 50 mb video should take somewhere around 20 minutes. Patience grasshoppa!

While we're on this topic, how are you guys liking the video gallery? My initial concern was that it is intuitive to navigate, but there are very powerful features in there that take up the slack.

Let me know how everything pans out.

thx

MD

It's a sweet setup Max,

I was sure I was doing it right, I wasn't aware of the 50MB cap, the window says unlimited. I have to find a way to downsize my Quicktime vids. I think I will just buy Quicktime Pro, that should do it. I have to use Quicktime because my Kodak uses that file type, and I don't know how to change the file type to a 'wmv' and use my Windows movie maker to resize.

That, in a nutshell is my problem, only took 2 weeks to figure it out.
