Anybody have any flight time on a 3W Votek. I'm getting mine just about ready for its maiden flight and any feedback you could provide on flight characteristics would be appreciated. Currently flying a Dalton Aviation Extrta 260 42% and the Votec will be primarily for 3D flying.
Thanks! Greg |

hi greg,
i have a votec but really only have about 7 flights on it so far. from what i can tell all the surfaces are very effective/efficient, especially that huge rudder.IMO it doesn't slow down like alot of other planes do on downlines and such. i have the competition version so mine flies light. for whatever reason mine can easily waterfall down from say 100feet and stay in the same postion w/ litte effort. i've been told it takes some work to get nice stationary torque roll but mine is stable. inverted harriers are completely stable , upright you need to find the "sweet spot". mine has coupling going in only one direction and gets to be alot at full rudder throw. i'm using a DA 150 on stock mufflers, 3serv's per ail and 2 per stab but might take one out of each surface to save some more weight. good luck w/ yours, steve |

hi greg,
this might sound funny but i compare it best to a krill katana i owned. they both seem sleek in the air, don't slow like other planes i have owned. dave i will have to look for some pics, not sure i have any though, steve |

Todd's enjoying the ML. Time for him to start getting practice in for the Shootout. My Dalton is flying great also. We need to get together one of these days.

Todd's back in school so weekdays are tough to get away. We'll work something out one of these times!
