Default Too dang hot!!

Well, yesterday it hit 117 the day before 115, today has a cooling tread and will be 111..............hopefully by mid week 99.........then back up over the 100 mark.
We have had 12 days of over 100 degree temps and it just too damn hot to fly, I'm afraid my planes would catch on fire in the pits.
Do I live in the desert?....................Hell no I live in Redding, Calif.

Guess It's better than the wind always blowing you down though.

Yeah, your right, thank God, If it was humid I'd have to move.
My wife and I were just talking about it and I know the coldest I've ever been was on the Bay in San Francisco fishing, and I've been in way below the zero mark and it wasn't that cold,..it just penetrates the bones!
Good ol' A. C.........But that still has me grounded till later this week,,,and early!

82 Deg's. here in Texas . They are calling for a overnight low of 61deg's tonight. . Now if these dang winds would stop blowing I might be able to carry my plane to the truck to go fly .

It's supposed to be over a Hundred here today and I live in Canada! My freakin Iglu is just a puddle now and I can't get around because there is no snow for the dog and sled team.

Actaully where I live is the northernmost tip of the Mojave dessert. So it's a "dry heat", but so is the oven and I wouldn't stick my head in there if it was set to 100!

Well, seems like the ol' weather man was off a bit, it hit 119 degrees today downtown and now they say it will "cool off" to a relaxing 108 tomorrow...............I can hardly control myself with the anticipation!.......
But the humidity was only 47%, so it could have been worse.........

"They" are telling us that it only supposed to get 114 today , but everyone knows that we need to add atleast 10 to that. We also have a constant 10-20 knt wind blowing too, that has picked up the heat from the desert. We live in the airstream of a large blow dryer here...our low overnight was around 90 .

I can't wait to get home.

Yep, that heat is miserable, but then you add the wind factor, and instant hair dryer effect.

Hope you get home soon Jon but don't expect too much relief from the heat here at home, I hear most of the country is in a over heat mode.
