Default Opinion on 3d plane

hey,

my name is Eric and im a 15 year old, ive been flying solo since age 9 and lost interest in the sport a year or so ago, im just now starting to fly alot with my dad who flys a 1/3 scale h9 sukhoi, i have taken the sticks on that and im learning some basic 3d stuff and im looking to buy a plane that is a good 3d flyer but isnt oversized.
im not looking for a gasser, just a plane that can fly off glow and is decent in size, preferrably an arf in the $100-250 range.

thanks.

Go for a profile of some sorts.

I have the Mojo, it is a great 3D flyer, I am not sure how much the ARF costs though............ I built a kit.

I know this might be alittle too much money, but the funtana 90 flies great on a saito 125a. A pretty spendy rtf plane but flies great! I had a funtana 40, and it wasnt as good but it is alot cheaper.

the u-can do wont knife...... and the funtana is great but scale looking glow planes just dont fly that great....... theyre not big enough. The profile is the way if you truly want to fly hardcore 3d on glow. Try the AM yak pro. or the mojo with a 40 would be real cheap.

i Have a tmpro kat 70 that i first started learning on. It is a great 3d starter before you jump and 3d on the big ones. There cheap, easy to fix and very capable of 3d. If you like straight lines they might not be the best. IMO the fliton might be a little advanced to learn on. You cant lose with a funtana i dont think. Best of luck in your decision.

keep in mind i already fly my dads 33% sukhoi,i can do some decent stuff.. rolling circles , knife edges, just not low to the deck ( i dont have the big metal balls to bring my dads plane within 50 feet of the ground,) im just looking for a decent 3der to help me touch up, and my dad is calling in a local hobby shop that supposively deals the fliton extra 330s, if i dont end up with that i dont know what im doing, might just end up getting a foamie and fixing the magic or something.

if the extra doesnt come through my dad mentioned getting a funtana 90 so most likely its either that or a stinkin foamy

thanks for your input guys

I fly the heck out of my E-flite Ultimate foamy! They may not be super impressive, but all the skills you want to develop can be worked on low to the ground with a foamy. Plus they take a beating too! I finally got a Edge 540 gasser & just put the 10th flight on it tonight. I've been playing low to the ground with it, but have confidence that I'll move the sticks the right way. The foamy is out flying almost every day for me & keeps the skills sharp.
If possible - grab a foamy and the Funtana!!!
