gas engines get less power when they are hot so if you cut a few degrees by baffling it would help a tad...

Well guys you got me.
I'm getting mine picked up this week. Power will be the new EVO 80cc on a tuned pipe so I hope to come in lighter than the twins but equal on power. Time will be the judge here of course. Fromeco packs and if my Weatronics unit arrives in time I will go with a 4800 single pack with a 2400 as reserve. Servos are still out with the jury. Tempted to go with some very fast Futabas but I have had great success with the Hitec 5955's to date so may stay with what I feel comfortable with. Does anyone have a ball park finished weight on one yet. I would like to see what I can shoot for on this one. Kiwi |

Larry, What is that between the Power Expander and the SWB Tray? Is it some type of regulator? It looks like it has a fan in it. Thanks

Ron, that`s a Smart-Fly Turbo regulator...It`s a dual failsafe Reg that supplies 17.5 amps, Definitly overkill for this plane, but I don`t see the things I`ve been building lately getting any smaller!!
Thanks Keith!! Get Moving!! |

Larry... How far are you from flying it? Also... Do you know yet what header and can will fit the 30% without hacking anything? I have everything but this for it... She'll be a quick build... PS- its a DA50.

She Flys tommorrow! Ran the engine today and fine tuned the controls a bit...I really like the Hitec programmer....The aileron servos are matched perfect throughout the full range of travel with no binding at all!
Here`s a few pictures of it completed; Last edited by Propstriker; 11-24-2006 at 08:16 AM. |
