Default DLE 30 Oil ratio question.

I have my two 30's broken in. I'm getting nearly 8000 on a Mejzlik 18x10 two blade prop. DLE call for 30-1 fuel to oil. The old standard for most gas burners was 40-1 and that was before synthetics. Has any one tried 40-1 or higher? I broke them in on Ashless lawnboy 30-1.

The "old standard" is still my current standard for all engines irrespective of size. I see no benefit in shortening an engines life on a leaner mix. Get a good quality oil to reduce carbon build up and fly it. Plenty of good threads with good brand names mentioned here.

+1 40:1 is a great mix. I use Sthil HP Ultra 100% Synth. and have very little if any build up on piston, plug or head after quite a few gallons.

I'm looking mainly for anyone using 40-1 in a DLE 30!

I'm running this mix in two DLE-30's, four DLE-55's and several misc. 20cc and 26cc engines. They are ALL happy. There is nothing about the DLE-30 that requires any special attention.

Think about 50:1 redline 2 stroke racing oil. I finally discovered it and I have had great success

I have two dle 30s ....started out at 32:1 and dont see any reason to change....both engines run great and no oil on the plane to speak of.

40:1 Stihl Ultra HP is what I run although I think that whatever you can easily get locally that is a good quality oil is what you should run.

40:1 synthetic equals 20:1 dino oil, which is what Fuji weedblower engines need. In fact, these are to be considered the standard mixes for small two strokes.
