For my self, (for big airplanes) JR's 8611a are the best pick. My resaon is for Power output, Power consuption (is lower) compared to Hitec 5955. They center better than other servos.

Now fot Guidance (Tx) is another story, but that's another subject.

Regards,

Hector!!

I think that JR puts out the best servos but for the value I think Hitecs are the best.

The Hicrash 5955 TGs have big stepping chunky movement but they are the lesser of 3 evils..

I'm normally a Futaba servo user but I just stocked up on some Hitec 5945s and 5955s for my new Yak. I want to try out the programming capability for matching the servos.

I prefer hitecs because the ability to program them without a matchbox, etc.

And thats the advantage. One can achieve true linearity. If I where to do it again, I'd go with the 59TG series with the programer.

Got to say I was a die hard JR fan(8611's etc) but after continually getting gear slop on brand new servos(8611's) after only 30-40 flights I switched to Hitech 5955TG's and wouldnt go back.

Same thing happened to me. I run smaller arms on my servos now with new gears in hopes of achieving some longevity out of my $114.95 ea 8611A's. For the money, I am really disappointed with the JR high end servos.
