I like Hitec's because you can program them. I had a little bit of wing rock with my WH CAP 232 and then I programmed the servos. There is no wing rock anymore. JR and Futaba are certainly good servos as well.

Hitec 5945's and 5955's are great servos. The 5945's have been around for a while and have given me nothing but great service. After plenty of 3D flying they have stood the test of time. I am sure the replacement 5985 will be just as good.

The speedy version 5925 is great for throttle or for 28-33% planes. Its one fast servo!

Futaba = expensive slop

spend £20 on a 3010 and get free slop! Shows up brilliant with 3d surfaces and 2 inch arms...

Checked out a friends hitec STANDARD servos (not even mid range like 3010) and these things were solid. Where's the excuse.

Here's a positive open minded outlook. I have all 3! I have great luck with all of them actually. As for the 8611's.... the only 2 I have owned had slop even after updating to 8611a's from Horizon. The pot went bad in one and they were too sloppy. For the hi powered stuff, I prefer a Hitec 5955 TG personally. They are all good.

Hitech is my fav. Programmable is a great feature, the titanium gears are nice too.

I had some of those Futaba 3010's also, what crap. Seems like some are not as sloppy but mine were horrible. Still have them on my beater 40 profile. Great crashable servos.

Went out yesterday, and today with my repaired JR 8611A's, and six flights later with absolutely no 3-D, just IMAC Basic, one outboard aileron 8611A went clickity, click, click, click on pre-flight. Thats it! I have had it with these. I set the servos up with a current meter, and a protractor. I made sure they were not binding throughout there intire range of travel as best as possible, and I still managed to loose one. I'm going Hitec!

lol good old Hicrash go for it man. What we need is a TG servo with the smooth resolution of a Futaba servo (so they work together on that part) and JR to just do the slick marketing of it lol

I have used JR 8411's and 8611's I now use exclusively Hitec Digitals on all surfaces of all my planes (32% -35%) Other than throttle( 5625's) I use 5955TG,s all around .I own 24 hitec digitals. they are programmable, tons of torque, great holding torque, small dead band ,no slop,Price $113.00 Canadian shipping and tax included. JR and FUTABA or good servos but when you spend a ton of money on a plane why not use the best servo at a lower price than the rest HITEC's rock and no match boxes to spend more money on

That is just my opinion

I prefer my Kraft servos. With a transit time of .85 seconds and monster torque of 17 in/oz, Im sure there are more than I will ever need. No slop after 1 million flights... these things are the best.

I mean... if you HAVE to use servos, I guess the kind you wind up and then have like 100 movements are cool. Counting your turns. Thats pretty manly.

But these Futitec Jr's digital 45,000oz of torque answer the phone and make you breakfast servos are for pansies....

Have JR 8411's and NO MATCHBOXES. These servos are probably about 2-3 yrs old and I have no idea about how many flights. I guess a lot. And yes, there are more than one servo on each surface!!!
