Eagle Indoor Fly-In February 5th and 6th 2011
The Radio Control Airplane Club at Embry-Riddle will be hosting their first ever Indoor Fly-In on February 5th and 6th in 2011. The Embry-Riddle Daytona Beach Campus is an Aeronautical University located near one of the most famous beaches in the world. Daytona Beach is also home of NASCAR and the Daytona International Speedway. The Embry-Riddle Campus is located right in the middle of what Daytona Beach has to offer.
The Fly-In will start February 5th at 2:30 PM and run through Midnight and on February 6th from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Saturday night we will host the Freestyle Competition, which anyone can sign up and enter in. We will also have a few mini contest such as Combat and Racing. We are also in the works on having F3P Competition Saturday and Sunday!!! The Radio Control Airplane Club at Embry-Riddle currently has 24 active members and it offers students at Embry-Riddle R/C flight training for just $10 a semester. We teach anything from basic flying to hard core 3D Aerobatic. We currently own two trainers, two sport airplanes, and a 50cc OMP Extra. There is talk about having another event in the Fall. We can only get Sunday all day. Keep a look out for dates. We are still planning on having a two day event in the Winter/Spring in 2012.
