Wow Damien
That engine is hot
About three weeks ago I planted my funtana into the ground, snapped the wing in half, but it was back in the air now until my saito packed up,the guys at the feild said that te conrod had snapped.
We took it to JK products today and he took the tappet covers off and found that the pushrod came away from the rocker arm.all is fine now

Havent seen you at the feild for a while now,is your 27% R.I.P

See you later

My 27% is still going strong! I havn't been flying it as much as would like but going to try make it this weekend.
I forgot about that funtana crash, I was there when it happened. Always sad to crash a new plane but at least its fixed, eight lives left now

Huckeneer: I dont know the price of the 34%, mine was purchased direct when CAmodel had their birthday special and my sponsor paid for it so I didnt get an invoice. Have you tried emailing aeroworks?

33%??? That ther looks a heck of alot like my Planes Plus 34%.

Great Plane. Wish I could get the harriers more solid. It is not near as forgiving as my 33" AW Edge 540T.

It is virtually the same plane- Chip is sold out of his but says he is doing another run of them- no more china cote covering, changed to ultracote, which is a good thing!!

Its not as forgiving as the AW 33% Edge? Thats what I am flying right now and I was going to sell it for something else like the Extra's.

I use aerofly and love it, G3 is also very good now but it will cost you more here (about R600 more). AFPD is maybe a bit too forgiving when it comes to stalling and snapping out. I think you will happy with either one though, they are both great sims.

Chip's Extra and the CA-Model Extra are NOT the same. Chip's is made in China and has a build-up wing, the CA plane is made in Argentina and has a foam core wing. I've not compared the body, but when you see Damien fly his Extra 27% then you'll know that he will do even better with the 33%.

So Damien, Saturday looks good? Are you ready for the maiden? Or at least an engine run with range check at the field?

I think an engine run may be possible but no maiden yet. I burnt out one of my 5955's by accident, stalled it and by the time i realized it was too late, stupid mistake. I have ordered another and will be sending the damaged one in to get repaired.
I also need to finish off one or two other things before we can run the motor, I will call you if I get it ready, would you have space in your car? I need to start looking for a bigger car that I can fit this plane into.

Oh, the whip antenna you gave me, do I just solder it to one of the long ones or do I need to cut it to a certain length first?

I was setting up my rudder pull-pull, I had one arm connected to the first servo and the other arm was connected to the first with titanium links but not to the servo because I wanted to get the first servo ready before I synced them with the Weatronics reciever. I was flapping the rudder back and forth and didnt notice that the lose arm had jammed against the inside of the plane.
I'm not sure exactly how long, maybe 5-10 seconds max. I was suprised how quick it went. I loaded the log file off the reciever and saw the last reading was 3.4 amps! Expensive mistake, I should have been more carefull.
