I've used that type of horn quite often. They do work well, but I think I'd like to try the SWB type. Sounds like the 3.5 inch is what I need.

Mine is up and flying! This plane is great, feels very smooth and solid. I have only had 4 flights so far and the second two were at an airshow!.
The mvvs116 runs like a champ, never missed a beat. The bisson mufflers sound good, not too noisy. Mine was also nose heavy but 6 ounces of lead fixed that. A friend filmed a bit of my flight at the airshow, I posted it HERE.

I have someone who will sell me one. Here is an email that he sent me about it.
The plane is an airframe with some decent hardware...it was setup to a push-pull rudder system...and the tail has all pin hinging done....covering is of great quality as well...there is no engine or electronics included...it also has a brand new set of sheeted aeroworks wings. To make this fly you will need engine, electronics, control arms for the elevator and throttle setup., fuel cell and fuel... http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k9...A/DSC05173.jpg Is it worth $500? Thanks |

Looks like a reasonable deal to me.
Has this one been flown, or even finished? I notice that he has the wrong landing gear...the CA gear is too short (for my taste) so I bought some from graphtech for mine. I'd also want to look at the cowl cut-outs to see if your engine choice will be accommodated. A cowl is easy to cut, but hard to patch! |

Looking at the pic closely, it looks like there's a cutout for a spark plug boot on the left side of the cowl. My DA100 installation is the same.
This plane might fly even better with a DA85 than the 100...it's a light plane (mine's under 26#) and the 85 would help keep the wingloading really low. You might ask if he made the plane with two aileron servos or one (the CA wing may be built either way.) If I looked at it in person and thought his build quality was good (might even check incidences, etc.), I'd be tempted to take it! You might make an offer and save a few bucks more?!?!
