Where can we purchse tickets?
I may be there if all things work out. I am getting back into the sport after 15 years and this would be a good place to be to ask lots of questions. |

OK. I got started on the plane today. The airframe is already built and I started installing the exhaust system as its going to take the most time of anything. Here are a few pics of the installation. Next I will need to enclose and make a tunnel for air to pass over the pipes and out the bottom.

Those pipes are huge! They look awsome! I googled Manfred Greve Exhaust Pipes but couldn't find much info. Are they primarly designed for sound, power, or both? What do they weigh?

Guys, Tony the master is on it! The plane will be like no other. We are finalizing the system to make sure everyone gets a fair chance at putting this work of art in their hangar. This won't take long to get going I promise! The plane will be at the Nall displayed in a place of honor. The plane will be completely blinged out! Shipping will be provided to lower 48 states. No need to be present to win. Spoke with Tony, he's shipped a plane to Hawaii, almost $900. Obviously as the funds raised are going to support the Don Lowe Masters, that much would really sting. If you live over seas and would like a chance to win you can enter, but cost over and above lower 48 would need to be provided by the winner. Spoke with Tony about what's going on with the scheme,,, won't give it away. BUT DAMN it WILL be off the hook! Stay tuned folks update soon. Keep an eye on the build thread and put plastic over your keyboard. Drool and electronics don't mix!!! Thanks Tony and all the sponsors that made this happen!!

I got the tunnel all finished and the fuselage is all ready for covering. I made a hatch to get to the mounts for the pipes. There are 4 small holes on the bottom to get to the mounting brackets but there should be no need to once the final assembly is done. I had to order more covering because I decided on a different scheme. My buddy Clint Sweet is donateing his time to do the paint work. He does some amazeing work on street bikes and has done a few planes for some local guys. I will be covering next week and hope to have it finished up by next weekend and will get pictures updated to this thread as I go so keep checking. Also we will have an annoucement shorty on how to get your tickets.
Please thank all of the sponsors as well. Without them this would not be possible. Most of them will be at Joe Nall so stop by and say thanks. *Dalton Aviation 42% Extra 260 airframe *Dalton Aviation all labor *Desert Aircraft Da 150 *JR Radio 9303 transmitter, 8611a servos, scan select rx *Horizon Hobby Ultracote, prolinks *Fromeco battery system with charger and volt meter, switches *Manfred Greve Exhaust Pipes *Pete Model Spinner 5" carbon spinner, tailwheel assembly *MSC Props 2 props *Carden Aircraft wing and tail bags, plane cover *SWB Manf. servo arms, fuel cap *Dubro tank, axles, wheels *Diamond Panels instrument panel *Smart Fly power expander, ignition cutoff *Die hard Graphics graphics *Composite creations pilot *3D Flyer Magazine *Pauly's R/C Products onboard temp/tach *Precision Laser ( Aerotech ) *Clint Sweet Designs paint work |

Fleckstone paint
It's a spray paint with little flecks of other color paint, It serves NO purpose other than it looks cool. to save weight when you do this you can use gray primer and then use a light coat of the fleckstone just to get the look.
