Awesome product Dave! I have been hearing a lot of good things about these!
Also, great to see a lot of ex-draggers on here. I ran sb fords with a small "team" for a bunch of years running 10.5.

Thanks again Guys! Thanks for the kind words Robert, Hope see ya at FX-3D.
I have had a few guys ask me how these compair to the Full lenth tuned pipes. Well IMHO I have flown sevral planes with pipes and they (Almost) all have the same thing in common, If flying a 35-38lb plane you will need clairity on your low end transision and not a motor that loads up like a potato stuck in the muffler and then when the plane starts to fall to mother earth and just before it crunches your 3rd rudder you advance your throttle only to experence what seems to be a port injected shot of NOS. And the plane rockets up about 50ft before you can blink. Now if you are asking about pure RPMs...You will ALWAYS recieve a higher RPM reading with pipes over any brand or design of canister. I hope you guys will help me here with this thread and keep it on track as I don't want it to turn into a technical debate about header lenth and carb problems ect. I believe if you enjoy flying with canisters and you enjoy 3D flying you will love these Canisters. Thanks to all. Planebender |

While a smooth low end transition might not be as critical in IMAC, no one enjoys hearing your A/C blubering along. Is there any reason not to use these on an IMAC A/C with a three blade prop ?

Dave may have more to say but since I'm using them, no, there is no reason not to use them regardless of what type of flying you do. They are clean from bottom to top. Our top ends rip, mid is sweet, idle perfect, and you could take your hand off the throttle on hover. I've desperately got to put new plugs in mine. I've put a year and a half on these, even through break in. I just got a box of plugs so I'm planning to get that done today. I'm bummed because it's so cold now and windy, it's tough to get out. But now that my engine is running so good I'm itchy, big time. I hope you guys that try these have a similar experience with them. I've been at war with my DA 170 since last November when I got it new. Today, I'm going to install them in my 40% Pilot Extra as well. I had this motor in a 3M Comp ARF that I sold so it's good and broke in.
