I am not sure, havent weighed it. I usually dont weigh my planes. Not to worried about the whole light thing. I figured its around 40lbs. Its a Carden and built according to plans. No lightening anywhere.

Maidened the Cap yesterday and it flew well. The winds were rocking at close to if not over 20mph. The wind sock was a steady straight across the hole day. From what I can tell so far the plane flies really light (to me). I say that because the other Cardens we fly in IMAC seem a little heavier than my Cap. I'm not complaining. The 8611's moved the plane with authority. Where ever I let the sticks go is exactly where the plane stopped. It was my first time flying a plane with the SWB self adjusting rudder tray. All I can say is awesome. The rudder is super fast and just does everything you tell it. We only flew the plane once because of the strong winds. Didnt want to chance anymore than what we did. I will fly it extensively tomorrow since the weather will be sunny and 4mph winds. I probably will not 3D the plane right now because of the brand new DA 150. Would like to get some more time on the motor to be sure it will throttle up when I want it to. I'll probably just fly a little IMAC style patterns with it and get the rates dialed in a little better to my liking. Other than that it really looked good in the air and I was truely happy with it. Cant wait to burn some more fuel.

That's good to here Chris. Good luck today. I am jealous. I have a lot of work to do to mine yet before the wheels leave the ground again. I don't think I will ever recover a 40% airplane again. I think I will just build a new one instead.

Good luck today. I am curious to see what yours weighs. Mine weighed 38lbs. after installing cans at the end of last summer. I was amazed at how slow the plane would fly. Landings were almost at a stand still. Have fun with yours.

Yeah it floated on the landing. The wind helped that out a bit yesterday and carried the plane further than I thought it was. Luckily we have a 1600ft runway. If I was at another field I would have had to go around.
