Hi Reza, I have a few questions about the duralite batteries, I just buy a used airplane that have 1 2150 2s1p 7.4 v li-on for ignition and a 4300 2s2p for the receiver, both with duralite regulators. The thing is that the ignition pack came with a 0 volts reading, so I put to charge with the duralite plus charger, the green light led never go off and I disconnect from the charger after 6 hrs. I have a accu-cycle elite and a hyperion charger, and when I tried to discharge them to check the mah put in it, through the black connector and the accucycle give me a voltage too high and the hyperion a no battery message. How can I check the "health" of the batteries and which is the right procedure to discharge them with the accucycle elite? Thousand thanks in advance for your kind response. Saludos from Mexico.

Hi Jose,
First of all when a Li-Ion battery voltage drops to 0 no voltage status, most of the time cells are damaged severely. Sometimes they come back if they weren't sitting for too long with that status but then again don't show a new battery juice. Secondly if those batteries are relatively old, then you can not use the black connector to charge them. Here's what you need to do and you have to keep an eye on it as well. connect the battery through the yellow lead to your Duralite charger, then after 3-4 hours disconnect and check the voltage if the voltage has come up, then connect it again until the light on the charger goes off. Now look at the voltage of the battery fully charged without load and under 1 amp load, if things look normal Then take a reliable charger that has mah counter and discharge the battery under .7-.8 amp until 6 volt and read the capacity. If the capacity is about 1700-1900 I would use it as ignition but if its too low then I don't recommend it. Dispose the battery. Thank you, Reza
