We look forward to hosting the 5th stop in the 2011 HuckFest Tour! A schweet Nebraska Corn"Huck"Fest will be on June 9th - 12th!!!!

Our group has been diligently planning and will have a great event with fun and shenanigans. We should have some pretty cool raffle items and such too.

Location -
The Lincoln Sky Knights (LSK) club is located on the edge of Lincoln, Nebraska -134th and Waverly Road – Waverly, NE (see map image) The LSK Club is centrally located and we have been the host of numerous large scale events include the NATS three times. According to the AMA website, we have 95 clubs in a 250 mile radius, with ours about the largest.

The Field -
The Lincoln Sky Knight field is 20 acres and is surrounded by flat farmland and has lots of over-fly room with no obstructions. We have two runways one asphalt runway in 40’ x 400’ (excellent condition, just resurfaced the runway in 2010) and an irrigated grass runway 80’ x 450’ We also have an 80’ x 300’ foot pond for float flying or tail touching! Both paved and grass pit areas are available to pilots. (see photo) No noise restrictions and we are turbine friendly.

Lodging -
We have a few RV hook-ups and a spot for tents. Many hotel options are available in a 15-20 minute drive. We are working on block room rate is availability.

Are the local motels pretty good? Safe to have a trailer with Toy's at the Motel, or would it be secure to leave a trailer at the field??

Lincoln is a great town and there are lots of local hotel options without too much to worry about in terms of leaving a trailer out, ranging from Holiday Inn Express to Hampton Inn and Suites, etc. I am working to see if one of them will give us a block rate. I will post a few options in a bit. I live VERY close to the field, but probably be spending a night or two out at the field as my dad will bring up his big toy hauler camper.

The PO-lice are notorious for checking out the field all hours of the night so I would say its fairly safe until we start the night flying

I lived in LNK in the early 80's and was a member of the Sky Knights. Is the field in the same place that is was back then?

The field was moved to waverly in the 90s. The old field now is a car dealership and appartment complex I think.
