New cowl is coming this week, everything else is ready to go. I'm trying a new Vess 27A prop, cutting it a little close on clearance, though.

Hey Cracky,

Remember how my motor seemed to not have RPM's in the air? I talked to RC Showcase and they told me it sounds like I'm getting pressure building up in the cowl messing with the mixture in the air. I'm going to run today with the cowl off and see if that cures it, if it does, I'll start blocking off the air in the front cowl until I can cure the problem, basically damming off the intake except directly in front of the head.

The best I can figure out is I have too much air coming in and not enough going out.

Ken
I think you should practice your takeoff and see if you can go lower than what you did at the Huckfest.

And I thought I was bad pulling up behind one of the local elementary schools in the ambulance and getting my foamy out. That did get some strange looks. Sometimes it is nice to have a slow day. When I get a video camera I will have to get some shots of hovering over the rig with the lights going. I'm sure that the owner of the service would be proud. LOL

Can't get much lower than that

However, I did the roll to inverted with both my Showtime and my Yak, both are still in one piece!!

I still had some issues with my ZDZ that I think we took care of. I was rich on the high end and low end, it seems to be running a lot better now.

One thing I know for sure, the 27" props I had aren't the right ones for this plane, only gives me about an inch of ground clearance, not good on a less than "perfect" landing, even the slightest squat in the gear caused me to lose a prop.

I'm going to try a 24x12 and see what that does.

Yeah I know, I had a 26x10 Menz on there and it pulled real sweet.
I'm in contact with GraphTech on gear.
