I didn't mind the struts so much. If people had problems with them, more than likely they hadn't maintained them properly, but the brakes were.. um.. interesting. No amount of adjustment (because there really wasn't any) could fix worn brake shoes.

My father (and subsequently I) always thought the 85hp 7BCM was cheating especially if doing any sort of 'fun' stuff, and we both HATED the way the bigger fin looked.

We are gonna sell our 1951 Ryan Navion "B" Model, Super 260. A pic is below when it was on the cover of Vintage Airplane. It has been in my family since new. My Grandfather flew commercially out to San Diego (from WV) and flew it back. I first flew in it when I was 3 months old (I'm 58 now). As you can imagine I have tons of pics and complete logs, etc. An Oshkosh and American Navion Society award winner.

Shoot me a PM if you'd like more info. Gonna be listing it in the usual rags in a week or so. Hate to see it go, but we just don't fly it enough anymore. It really needs an owner who wants to go to shows and fly-ins....as the saying goes, we've been there, done that.

I got a chance to fly a gorgeous Ryan Navion out of KPWK some 8 years ago, and the experience was absolutely fantastic. A doll to fly, not to mention the nostalgia. Definitely a favorite of mine.
